Note: I had two
guys ( Carl Baker & Rick Rausch ) both call me
tonight an hour apart. Both are from Poway, Ca. and both
served on Mispillion at different times. Both of them
were deck apes too! Small world, very small world. Even
their phone numbers are almost the same. Sheesh!!

More: These guys (Rick and Carl) live two miles from
each other. Strange twist, Rick served on the USS Grand
Canyon several years earlier with Chuck Stithem. At that
time, Chuck was a 2nd class BM and Rick was a 3rd class
BM. When Rick reported aboard Mispillion in 1970 as a
1st class BM, Chuck was already on board and was a BMC.
